ye olde archive

Back in 2006, before I was professionally employed in the ‘audio biz’, I decided to start a podcast called rethinkdaily.

It was to be ‘a podcast for the podcasting generation’, featuring seasons of new audio drama, essays and comedy produced by twenty-somethings, for twenty-somethings.

As you may remember and chosen to forget, your twenties were full of grand plans, consistently frustrated by trying to pay the rent, find love etc. Hence the name: rethinkdaily.

As such, there’s lots of it that I now feel is a bit, well, aimless. But there’s plenty I’m still proud of (including the drama serial Numbers).

AND let’s not forget that it was nominated for a Sony Radio Academy Award in 2009 for the (now redundant) Internet Programme Award – the only non-BBC drama to have ever been given the nod.

So hats off to the many, many people who made it happen – not least my long-time collaborator Dave Pickering.

You can visit the old flash website – and hear all the old programmes – here.
